The AAUW Funds (former Educational Foundation)
Effective July 1, 2009 AAUW Funds is the new name for what we have known and loved for years as the Educational Foundation or (EF) and other fund programs. Contributions to AAUW Funds are a 501(c)(3) and are therefore tax-deductible. AAUW’s philanthropic purpose, goals, processes, and activities will remain exactly the same including all the fellowships and grant funds, the Legal Advocacy Fund, and the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund. The only thing that will change is the terminology we use to refer to the designations for our giving. Click here to read more about the Funds...

50 year anniversary for the Foundation! The AAUW Education Foundation funds women scholars and projects that change the lives of women as AAUW has been doing so for more than a century. EF funds give proven scholars the opportunity to reach for the stars in post graduate studies. Click here to read the national page about Fellowships and Grants...
For instance, the foundation provided the funds to 1) start up Tech Trek, 2) communicate information about Postpartum Depression, and 3) provide first books on Choices for young people.
Funded by EF, research on equality in the classroom and sexual harassment in the workplace/classroom has also provided a base for legislation and has impacted human resource policies.
Funds raised by our local EF committee go towards an International Fellowship. These funds help women from developing countries come to the United States to do graduate work.
