EDUCATION FOUNDATION & SCHOLARSHIPS

Education Foundation

50 year anniversary for the Foundation! We provide fellowships and grants to woman for education, research and community programs. The Redlands branch raises funds through donations, an annual theater party, yard sale, and cutlery sales.

Local Scholarships

Our branch also provides local scholarships to women who have some previous college experience but whose schooling has been interrupted and now wish to continue their academic pursuits. Funds for the scholarships are raised at an annual yard sale and renting books on tape (offered at our monthly meetings). Click here to read more...

Theater Night Benefit		 The Educational Foundation (EF) committee is starting its 2008-2009 fundraising season with a theater night at the Redlands’ Footlighters, November 13th.
The profits are applied to the Redlands International Fellowship that provides support for scholars from foreign countries to do doctoral research in the U.S. Volunteers help at the play and there will be drawings for gift baskets donated.

June Garage Sale 2008

The committee for the Local Scholarship Yard Sale would like to thank all
of the members that help sort, price and work the yard sale in June. We had so
many people, members and friends, donate items that there is no way that we
can thank each and every one. So to everyone that participated, "THANK
YOU".

The bottom line is that this event wouldn't be such a success without
the donations that make it all possible. Please continue to save your slightly
used items and think of the local scholarship arm of Redlands AAUW when
you do your summer cleaning. We store large items.
Tech Trek Science Camp Scholarships Tech Trek is sponsored by AAUW California. The girls live in a dorm on a college campus, attend classes and participate in field trips. Our San Gorgonio "Pass" interest group raises funds and sends several local young women.

We would love your help for our fund raising for either the Education Foundation or Local Scholarships:

  • Garage Sale is June. We do a pre-sort, then work at sorting and pricing. On the day of the sale, we work from 5:30am to 2:00pm. The public will be at the sale beginning at 7am.
  • Cutlery sales and books on tape rentals at our monthly meetings
  • Theater Night helpers
